Principal / Partner   |   Read Professional Bio >>

For real adrenaline-pumping, heart-pounding competitive action, Eric Sondermann from early on counted on two activities: politics and Ms. Pac-Man.

Eric excelled at both. But he sometimes paid a high price for his success. Take the time he went to the Emergency Room with a critical (and painful) case of Ms. Pac-Man elbow. Really.

Eric's political journey required sacrifices, as well.

"By the time I was 20 I'd been a part of a couple significant winning campaigns," he says. It seemed natural, then, that he'd leave Colorado College early to go work for Governor Dick Lamm.

"My parents told me I was getting too big for my britches despite my assurances that I'd finish school. I guess it was my way of rebelling."

So far he hasn't returned to get his bachelor's degree. But the potential still exists for Eric to play the role of Rodney Dangerfield in the 1986 classic Back to School (how that film was denied an Oscar, we have no idea).

Like Dangerfield, Eric also has trouble getting respect, at least from his staff. Not for his ability to recall obscure trivia and seldom-dialed phone numbers from decades earlier (reminiscent of another classic '80s movie, Rain Man)...not for his ability to single-handedly keep Amazon.com, Cabela's and several other online or catalogue merchants in business...not for his ability to refill the copier with paper ALL BY HIMSELF...and not even for his ability to use ellipses in virtually everything he writes.

Those who compete against Eric, however, would be advised never to underestimate him. Especially if they're playing Ms. Pac-Man.
