What's New > SE2’s holiday card creates shock and awe

Posted 12/18/2008

After only two years, distribution of the annual SE2 holiday card has become the unrivaled event of the season.

Think the hunt for five golden tickets to Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory – only turn the hysteria up a couple notches.

Initial reports of this year’s frenzy include postal carriers being mobbed and rampant Chinese counterfeiting, complete with telltale typos (different typos than the original).

The reaction has been intense:

“I tore open the envelope with great anticipation...but there was no check inside. Not even one of the two dollar bills my grandma used to send.”

“Would it have killed SE2 to have just sent a card with Garfield wearing a Santa hat?”

“I’d even take one of those lame e-cards with animated snowflakes over this.”

For those recipients whose card was intercepted by thieves and auctioned off on eBay, we have posted this pdf. With a quality color printer and glue stick, you can recreate a facsimile of the real thing to impress holiday guests.
